I finally got a job as a part-time adjunct instructor at a local community college, but it only pays slightly more than I was making on the dole, and NO benefits (or job security... they can drop me at any time). It's increasingly looking like the only way I'm going to get health coverage is to marry for it.

I've also had problems with places teasing me by interviewing me when they already had someone else in mind. Why can't they just tell me they had no intention to hire me in the first place?Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14171058491211086596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3066793115968741388.post-135035607828119482011-03-30T14:54:30.641-04:002011-03-30T14:54:30.641-04:00I am convinced that part of the problem is recrui...I am convinced that part of the problem is recruiters contacting the wrong people. Over the years I have lost track of how many times I have been contacted about positions where I would be hard pressed to fake even knowing what the job is. This must mean that the recruiters are calling someone else for the positions I could do. Several of my favorite mismatches were the people looking for a veterinary parasitologist and the others looking for a research biostatistitian. Though once I did hear of a addiction treatment slot in Canada and perhaps I ought to have taken that - at least there would have still been health care - both for me as well as my patients.danielhttp://www.members.tripod.com/~dpyron/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3066793115968741388.post-2186859977654357792011-03-30T11:13:03.794-04:002011-03-30T11:13:03.794-04:00Thanks for your prayers! Been there done that, and know exactly what you have been going through. And, I hope you find out "what you want to be when you grow up!" At age 70, two years ago, with the economy being rather shaky andbeing a wife, mother, great-great grandmother, I decided it was time for me to do what I "wanted to be when I grew up!" I became a co-inventor, and CEO of a company and was scared to death, asking myself, "what are you thinking?" Two years later, my dear, I can say with all honesty, my prayers have been answered, and with His help, know that I know, I made the right decision to bring to others a tool they can clean out their gutters with and stay safely on the ground. If you have time, come visit with me at www.GutterClutterBuster.com and see how "dreams do come true" when you have faith, hope, and charity within your heart. Yes, Ariel, there really is a God! Here is proof...He still answers prayers and gives the desires of our heart. Blessings over you, your life, and happiness and success in all you do.
